The Pakistan government, in a recently released video, claimed that they have arrested one of the IAF pilots, while the other pilot is missing in action.

The captured IAF pilot is an MiG 21 Bison pilot, which has been confirmed by the Indian government. The blindfolded man in the video, wearing a flight suit and bleeding from the nose, claims that he is Wing Commander Abhinandan. When the Pakistani officials prompted him for further details, he refused to answer. At the end of the video, he is seen asking if he is in the custody of the Pakistani military. It has been reported that Abhinandan hails from Chennai’s Tambaram.

A Pakistani F-16 jet that violated the line of control early this morning in the Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district was shot down in Indian retaliatory fire in Nowshera’s Lam valley. The Pakistani jets, however, dropped bombs near the Indian Army post in Rajouri sector while returning, although there are no reports of any casualties or collateral damage.
