Pakistan Captain Body Shamed at Mall, Called 'Fat like a Pig'

Disappointment among cricket fans is usual but the way it is being shown sometimes can only be called disgraceful. A recent video shows Pakistan Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed being treated disrespectfully in a mall. A man who was taking a video motioned to Sarfaraz who was with his son. The captain stopped to look at the camera only for the man to body shame him saying, “Why are you fat like a pig?” He also said, “You have made Pakistan so proud. You should diet less.”
Sarfaraz can then be seen pausing for a second and walking away. While it is natural to feel upset about one’s team’s loss, such behaviour is unwarranted. Invading into the cricketer’s personal life and making such distasteful comments seems to be crossing the line. While social media allows one to voice their opinions and feelings, it is also important to be a responsible digital citizen and show respect to others.
The man later went on to apologize for his actions with a video.
No manners. No respect. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Yes the performances have not been good but the players don't deserve such abuse #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/o8rMNTVGXI
