Yesterday’s match between Pakistan and New Zealand showed the former prove their worth again. Pakistan displayed an overall good performance with the ball and the bat. One player reached a special mark in the match yesterday. Babar Azam became the second fastest batsman to reach 3000 runs, beating the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Azam took 68 innings in order to achieve the feat while Kohli took 75 for the same.
Azam is below Hashim Amla who crossed 3000 runs in 57 innings. Cricket World Cup took to Twitter to congratulate Azam saying: “3,000 ODI runs for Babar Azam ?? ?? Only Hashim Amla has reached the landmark in fewer innings.” In the true spirit of cricket, it is always nice to watch cricketers set new records regardless of where they hail from, and fans have been proving the same.

Babar Azam, brilliance. Wanted to make runs under pressure, he delivered, doesn't get tougher than chasing in a world cup fixture with your team fighting to stay alive in the competition. #CWC19 #NZvPAK #PAKvNZ
