Following the Pulwama terror attack that claimed the lives of over 40 CRPF soldiers due to a suicide bombing by a Jaish-e-Mohammed militant, there have been growing tensions between India and Pakistan.
Inter-Services Public Relations’ Major General Asif Ghafoor, during a press conference today stated that India was blaming Pakistan of the terror attack without proper investigation and that New Delhi still hasn’t come to terms with the 1947 partition. “We have a 72-year history. The partition happened in 1947 and Pakistan was liberated. India still hasn’t been able to accept that. We are not preparing for war, you (India) are issuing threats.. We have right to respond to the threats. We are not preparing to initiate but planning to defend and retaliate which is our right. Should you (India) initiate any reaction first, you would never be able to surprise us...we will surprise you,” he said in the conference, further warning India not to “mess with Pakistan.”
Blaming Indian media of war journalism, the Major General said their Prime Minister Imran Khan has given their Army full authorisation to prepare for an attack from India’s side.
