Pakal Nakshatrangal
After proving himself a versatile actor in a few films like the recent 'Thirakkatha', Anoop Menon is now trying a hand to get known as a quality scripwriter. He had already scripted the new movie 'Pakal Nakshatrangal' planned to be on theatres by the end of this week. The movie also hold more promises as it comes from director Rajeevnath who had given us many good movies like Aham, Janani and Moksham.
Featuring Mohanlal and Sureshgopi in important roles, the movie is planned a different psycho - thriller, presented in one of the rarest attempted subjects in Mollywood. The movie is all about friendships without barriers and how that affects each others lives.
Siddharthan, was a terrific writer and a genius film director, looked up with reverence by his contemporaries. His only weakness was his friendships. In lazy evenings, when Siddharthan and his friends used to get together, hitting the bottles in their quiet hangout named ``Daffodils''; they discussed about everything under the sun and shared their innermost secrets. Siddhu, as siddharthan was popularly called, had an intense mental grasp over everyone in his circuit. One fine day, Siddharthan is found dead in the premises of 'Daffodils'.
Grapewines spread far and wide about the nature of death of Siddharthan, many finding clues to a murder. An intense artist with every shortcomings of a filmmaker, even the state police stated in their records that Siddharthan was, in fact, murdered in "Daffodils". But they couldn't find any real clues to the culprit. Any way, his friends never ever assembled in daffodils after the death of their favourite director.
After ten years from Siddharthan's mystic murder, his friends once again plan a revisit to Daffodils, for a last time, as the building is slated for a demolishing, the next week. Siddhu's friends including ISRO scientist Vaidyanathan, Usha, Raji,and Geetha arrives at their favourite hangout, but this time to witness something that they never expected. A thrilling murder mystery produced by Chaya films and directed by Rajeevnath, Mohanlal will don the role of Siddharthan. Sureshgopi will team up with Lal playing ISRO scientist who also have some extra sensory perceptions which helps him to speak with the deceased souls. Scriptwriter Anoop Menon also plays a crucial character in the movie.
Also in the cast are Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Arun, Murali, Manianpillai Raju, Samvrutha Sunil, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalpana, Sukumari, Reena Basher, Murukan and K B Venu. The others in the technical crew include Ramachandra Babu in Camera, K Sreenivas in editing and Saburam in art direction.
