It is time for yet another Krishna Vamsi audio - something where each song is driven by the needs of the script rather than any other extraneous consideration. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, the director's favourite, doesn't disappoint. When the theme is paisaa, his talent comes to the fore like best. The singers, right from Tippu and Vijay Prakash to Shweta Mohan and others give their best. Sai Karthik gives one of his career bests. Eppudaithe Puttindho Artists: Krishna Vamsi, Vitthal, Dhanraj, 'Thagubothu' Ramesh, Chandra It makes a good title song and Sastry's lyrics have a flavour of both satire and poetry. The rhyming words are both rhythmic and meaningful. Phrases like 'fatal attraction' and 'total distraction' give it a modern ring. The choice of singers may be contestable, but overall it is a 'paisa vasool' song. Govindaa Govindaa Artists: Tippu, Baby Thillu We can easily sense that Krishna Vamsi extracted such music which would be congenial for Nani to deliver the dance moves that are typical of him. Anantha Sriram's lyrics are usually good and Tippu's vocals add soul to it. Mayya Mayya Artist: Vijay Prakash Sai Karthik proves himself in adapting the very famous Arabian tune to good effect. Vijay Prakash's vocals are a blessing and Sastry's lyrics once again are enjoyable. With good music, vocals and lyrics, the song has all the trappings of becoming a sure shot hit. Neetho Edho Artists: Shwetha Mohan, Sai Karthik Shweta Mohan's mellifluous voice and Sai Karthik's humming makes Neetho Edho a worthy number. Sastry's poetic insights are usually bright. The music director adds a flavour that is sure to make it a hall time hit. Paisa Paisa Artists: Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Karthik Kumar Barring the vocals, the song is largely sub par. Having listened to the other song on the importance of having and being paisaa, this song seems to be redundant. Unlike the song sung by Krishna Vamsi and Co, this is a bit suave but not necessarily sophisticated. Makes for a good running song, probably. Paisa (Theme) Artist: Sai Karthik The theme song stands out for its simplicity, but it could have avoided being way too inspired. An average number, overall. |
