Pre pongal festival releases are two from Kannada filmdom. One is Paipoti` a commercial venture and the other one Shabari Malai Yathre` a devotional film releasing for the Shabarimalai season. Both are new producers trying their luck in Kannada cinema.

PAIPOTI – a talented lyricist of Kannada cinema Ramnarayan after a moderate success of Snehitharu` is putting his mettle to test in an entertainer film with two young actors Gururaj Jaggesh and Niranjan Shetty. Pooja of Mysooru is making debut as heroine. Laksh Obed from northern part of Karnataka is highly confident on people acceptance. This is the first Kannada film that tried and found successful with a song Avalig Avale Beautiful….with only sounds from the month. No musical instrument was used for this particular song of music director Ganesh Narayan.

Between two boys who gets the beautiful heroine Pooja – what is the competition between the two is also kept up secret so far by talented Ramnarayana.

NS Shantha Kumar is producer of this film that depict the significance of Lord Ayyappa. Gandharvaraya Ravut has written lyrics and scores music. Sai Ram Shanthakumar has written story, screenplay, and dialogue besides direction of the film. Sanjeev Reddy is editor, Akshay Kumar is co producer.
