‘Bahubali 2’ directed by Rajamouli was the year’s biggest release which made over 1600 crores in profits worldwide. The movie is helmed as the first south Indian film to make such an impact on a global level.

However, talk of the town now is ‘Padmavathi’ which seems to be on a fiery start with its trailer smashing previously set records by the Prabhas starrer. While ‘Bahubali 2’ trailer was able to garner 11 million views under 24 hours of its release, the trailer of ‘Padmavathi’ easily surpassed the counts by drawing in over a whopping 15 million views under 24 hours.

The 189 second trailer which showed actors Shahid Kappor, Deepika Padukopne and Ranveer Singh in their best appearances also had breathtaking war visuals, imagery and grandeur which is touted to be on par with ‘Bahubali 2’.

Nevertheless, we will have to wait fingers crossed to see if ‘Padmavati’ could exceed Rajamouli’s magnum opus in terms of profits as well. ‘Padmavati’ which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is slated to hit the screens on the 1st of December.
