The controversial film ‘Padmavathi’ by Sanjan Leela Bansali has showcased the Rajput Community in bad taste is the complaint.

The release of Hindi film ‘Padmavathi’ is not possible was the shout of a few days ago in Karnataka. The issue cropped up at the legislative council session at Belagavi district.
Leher Singh MLC raised the issue in legislative council making some charges and urged for government of Karnataka to stall the release.

The decision to ban the film is not in government hands. It is the decision of censor officer. The home Minister Ramalinga Reddy further making reply stated that all steps will be taken to control the law and order situation at the time of release of ‘Padmavathi’.

The Supreme Court has also passed an order not to disturb the film when it is given censor certificate. Rajat Karni Sene has called for Bharath Banh on December 1 – release day of the film. In Bengaluru Freedom Park a meeting with regard to stopping the film from release was also held on Wednesday.
