Padmapriya, who made a debut into filmdom with Blessy's Kazhcha in 2004, is planning to give more importance to her Malluwood assignments more than the films in any other languages.

“2006-2007 had been a very good year for me in Malayalam. I was able to do some note worthy roles, mostly in superstar films. I like Malayalam cinema, as the characters they portray are true to life. No other language can offer this much of good characters as Malluwood is giving me. Even though the remuneration is a bit low, I prefer to focus on Malayalam'', says Padmapriya, who had pretty good year in 2006.

She was regularly seen opposite superstars, acting out many good characters in super hits.

This year too, she will be seen in Suresh Gopi's Time, Mohanlal's Pardesi and Mammootty's Pazhassi Raja. She also has a few films with Prithviraj.

The model turned actress who is taking her film career with much seriousness is even planning to settle in the state.
