It's known that the Government of India has honoured the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam with the country's second-highest civilian honour. SPB passed away after battling multiple ailments last year in the wake of him contracting coronavirus.
The news is that Chiranjeevi, who was close to the multi-lingual singer, has tweeted in celebration of the coveted posthumous recognition. "Elated at the announcement of 'Padma Vibhushan' to my beloved brother SP Balu garu. Most deserving honor. Pained to see the suffix 'posthumous' in brackets. Wish he was here to personally accept it!" the actor wrote on Twitter. KS Chitra, the prominent playback singer, has been given Padma Bhushan.
On the work front, Chiru is shooting for 'Acharya'. Director Koratala Siva recently welcomed Ram Charan on board for the project. The 'RRR' actor is playing a key role in the movie. Chiru's movie with director Mohan Raja, the Telugu remake of 'Lucifer', was launched recently. It will go on the floors in February.
