The Kannada speaking heroine Padmavathi as Padma has completed her second Kannada film ‘Khadak’ and took part in the audio release of the film on Wednesday morning at Green House Raj Milan.

Even before her second Kannada film hitting the screen Padmavathi has two Tamil films to her credit. She has appeared in a few movies with Tamil actor Vikranth, relative of SA Chandrasekhar who is the father of top star Vijay in Tamil films. This SA Chandrasekhar film is made by Sun Pictures.

Padmavathi thought of becoming airhostess, completed one year training course in Bangalore and appeared an advertisement of Sumangali Sarees. She got noticed in ‘Kolminchu’ and hence hasn’t looked back after that.

Daughter of vegetable cultivators, Padmavathi finished PUC from Ammanni College in Bangalore. She plays a middle class heroine in Khadak who is instrumental in changing the attitude of the protagonist Jitesh in the film.
