Ranjith's immediate next is the coming of age film 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu' starring Dushara Vijayan, Kalaiyarasan and Kalidas Jayaram. This movie is set in the backdrop of Tamil theatre art and explores multiple facets of love, including straight and LGBTQ romances. Jointly bankrolled by Neelam Productions and Yaazhi Films, the makers are targetting a July release.
Then, Pa Ranjith will start his next film with Vikram tentatively titled 'Chiyaan 61'. Jointly bankrolled by Neelam Productions and Studio Green, it is set in the backdrop of Karnataka's Kolar Gold fields, revolving around miners who discovered gold in the 19th century. Reportedly, Ranjith was due to start the film after his blockbuster “Kabali” but decided to wait until the two “K.G.F.” films, which have the same backdrop.
Following it, Ranjith will complete 'Vettuvam', a linked film and series. It revolves around a rural gangster, a modern-day Robinhood who surrenders to cops to evade his enemies, only to land in a prison which is even worse. Set mostly in the prison, Vettuvam will focus on the protagonist's fight against injustice.

Set in the Madurai backdrop, the movie, bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International, will tackle a major issue. Finally, Ranjith will make his Bollywood debut with the Hindi biopic drama of Indian tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda. All these projects will be executed over the next three years.
