It's a known fact that director Pa Ranjith, who had last directed the superstar Rajnikanth starrer Kaala is next directing the movie Salpetta starring Arya in the lead role and this movie has Arya playing a boxer.

Touted to be a period movie in the 80s set in North Madras backdrop and Kick boxing as it's key element, Salpetta also stars Madras fame Kalaiyarasan and Dushara Vijayan in key roles.

Now it has been revealed that actor John Kokken, husband of popular VJ and actress Pooja Ramachandran, who had acted in few Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies is also a part of Salpetta and the actor himself revealed the news by sharing his training video for the movie.
