Director Pa. Ranjith has become a major force in Tamil cinema after delivering two back to back films with Superstar Rajinikanth in the form of 'Kabali' and 'Kaala'. His earlier two films 'Attakathi' and 'Madras' have also been critically acclaimed and also enjoyed great box office runs. He has now produced 'Pariyerum Perumal' directed by Mari Selvaraj and starring Kathir and Anandhi which is receiving immense praise from the likes of Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan and almost the entire Kollywood fraternity.

Ranjith meanwhile is gearing up to direct his next mega project, which is going to be in Hindi and will be about a 18th century warrior and his fight for social justice. Initial reports suggest that major stars from all over India will be acting in this project which will be a mega multistarrer. There were speculations earlier that Aamir Khan is likely to play the lead role but nothing has been confirmed yet and an official announcement is expected pretty soon.
