Young politician and social activist Jignesh Mevani who contested the recently held Gujarat state elections as an independant candidate raced past even the ruling party candidate with a vote difference of almost 20,000. Member from the Vadgam constituency, he has also led protests for dalits and the people of the lower castes on a large scale voicing out their cause.

Interestingly, the 34 year old politician made time to meet up with our very own ‘Kabali’ director Pa. Ranjith.  Regarding this Mevani took to his social page to express himself about his meeting. “It was wonderful meeting him. Such a wonderful person he was. Enjoyed Pongal with him,” he said.

“All the best for your work and my solidarity. Keep doing what you’re doing. Much respect,” Pa.Ranjith expressed in his social page.
