Pa Ranjith is a respected new-era filmmaker in Tamil cinema. He was one of the guests at Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Maamannan'. Ranjith shared exciting updates about his upcoming films - Chiyaan Vikram starrer 'Thangalaan' and Arya starrer 'Sarpatta Parambarai 2'.

Talking at the event, Pa Ranjith said, "Maamannan will be a very serious film and Mari Selvaraj has discussed strong politics in this movie. I saw a few scenes from this film and it was amazing, especially Vadivelu has played a never seen before role this time." Then, he went on to spill the beans on his much-awaited projects.

Ranjith revealed that the Thangalaan shooting resumes on June 15th and added that only 12 days of filming are pending. The filming was halted earlier as Chiyaan Vikram suffered an injury while rehearsing. When the anchor asked about the actor's health, he confirmed that Vikram is doing fine. He stated that Sarpatta Parambarai 2 will begin next year.
