'Blue Star', produced by Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions, is gearing up to hit the screens on January 25. This film marks the first film of the new Kollywood couple Ashok Selvan and Keerthi Pandian. It additionally stars Shanthnu, Bagavathi Perumal, Lizzie Antony, Divya Duraisamy and others.

The official trailer of 'Blue Star' debuted yesterday and is going viral now. The 2.5-minute trailer shows the hardships faced by two local cricketing superstars while embarking upon professional cricket. The sports drama, directed by debutant S Jayakumar, talks about cricket and much more politics. Ashok Selvan and Shanthnu are playing sporting rivals from North Chennai.

The star cast also comprises Prithvirajan, Elango Kumaravel, Arun Balaji, Balaji Prasad, Raghav, Shajji, Damu, Jeyachandran, Jeyaperumal and others.
