Former finance minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram has been arrested by the CBI from his Delhi residence and taken to its headquarters. He went missing on Tuesday after the Delhi High Court refused anticipatory bail and Wednesday evening made a dramatic entry at the Congress office. At the press conference PC had stated "If I’m asked to choose between life and liberty I shall unhesitantly choose liberty. Between now and Friday, I will walk with a clear conscience and my head held high,”. He was referring to the Supreme Court hearing his case on Friday.

Karthi Chidambaram and the Congress leaders have accused Modi government of a witchhunt and claimed that the 73 year old Chidambaram has done nothing wrong and has not been named as an accused in the case. We will have to wait and see how the drama unfolds on Friday when the Supreme Court take up the case.
