Isaignani Ilaiyaraja's 1000th film `Tharai Thappatai' released for Pongal 2016. `Oyee' directed by debutante director Francis Marcus will be the second film to hit the screens with his music, this year.
The film stars Geethan Britto and Eesha in lead roles. Nagineedu, Arjunan Nandhakumar, Sangili Murugan and Papri Gosh have acted in supporting cahracers. Yugaraj has handled the cinematography. Editing is by Mani Baskaran has penned the dialogues. Vivekha and Ekadasi have written the lyrics for the tunes composed by the maestro.
The film has been shot predominantly in Pollachi and a few portions in Chennai.
`Oyee' touted to be a romantic comedy has been produced by Mark Studio India Private Limited. The film is expected to hit the screens on April 8, 2016.
