In what is being seen as a promising romantic entertainer, the new movie `Oy' is currently in the making and recently, the audio release of the film happened. The music for this has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the film has Siddarth as the hero while the `Anjali Papa' Shamili is making her comeback as the heroine. The audio has got a good response so let us see how each song is like. Oy Oy Listen here This is the title song of the film and it has been sung by Siddharth the hero of the film. With an English accent, his vocals have been quite trendy and the lyricist for this is Chandrabose who has come up with a simple mode of words mixing it with English in a neat manner. Yuvan used melody beats for this song and the pace of the tune was quite energetic. This is a good one. Saradaga Listen here This is a good duet which has got the regular western beats from Yuvan and this time, it is about the fun side of life and the dreams that are associated with love. The artists for this are Karthik and Sunidhi Chauhan and both shared a good chemistry in this number. Anant Sriram wrote the lyrics and he has woven a tale of romance with a poetic touch. This is a dreamy number which has got good melody. Waiting For You Listen here A slow and tender romantic song, the voice has been rendered by Kay Kay and there is tinge of pain in his voice. Yuvan excels at the deep melodies that include pain and bitter emotions, this time he has synced well with lyricist Vanamali who has got a mix of English in his words. The song is slow and it is more voice dominated with the music contributing its bit, there is also a trace of Ilayaraja tune in this. Anukoledenadu Listen here An energetic song with good fast beats, the song has been rendered by the smooth voiced Shreya Ghoshal and the lyrics have been penned by Vanamali with an upbeat mood. The song talks about the good things in this world and there has been a good mix of Indian and western instruments and Yuvan has created a perfect balance for the vocals and the music. The picturisation of the song will play a key role for this number. Povaodhe Prema Listen here A beautiful slow melody that starts with a piano and mixes with guitar in the perfect manner, the song has been rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja himself and he has come up with a clean voice without any Tamil accent. It is more of a western slow song and the background beats are syncing well with the vocals. The lyricist Vanamali has given a good range of the importance of love and the hard feelings of separation with his words. For those who have heard the songs of Jon Bon Jovi, they would relate to this number quite easily. Seheri Listen here This is more of a rap number mixed with Telugu and English lyrics and Yuvan has come up with a good mix of melody with western beats. While Toshi has provided the aggressive side of it, Priya has given the softer touch to it and the lyricists Surendra Krishna and Krishna Chaitanya have penned straightforward lyrics for the current generation to understand. Though the song is slow, the energy is high in the song and works well with the youth. Overall, the album focuses more on energetic and western beat numbers and though the lyrics have been written in tune with the genre of the song, it must be said that the folk beats and a country song is missing from Yuvan this time. Perhaps the story may not have required it, he has made it up with good slow melodies and this album would find its appeal among the youth. It is a modern album.
