After numerous reports made rounds about an outer space movie being made in Hollywood, recently the NASA had confirmed that they're set to join hands with action hero Tom Cruise and Elon Musk’s SpaceX for a film which will be filmed in outer space.
Weeks after the confirmation, now popular Hollywood media Variety has reported that this ambitious project has finalized its director. Director Doug Liman, who had previously directed Tom Cruise films “Edge of Tomorrow” and “American Made” has come onboard to direct this outer space movie, as per reports.
As of now, this outer space movie doesn't have any distributor and there's no clue regarding the exact plot details but Liman’s entry has set the expectations high on this project. Earlier it was said that Liman and Cruise were planning a project named “Luna Park” which was about a group of renegade employees who travel to the moon to steal an energy source.
