Ottakayyan
They are two energetic youth who believes in two different political ideologies, ready to do anything based on their blind belief. Now they are ready to pouch upon each other and to kill the other according to the intentions of their party forum.
The real problem for them is that they are now left alone in a lonely island, to kill and to escape on their own. They have only one way to reach the outer world and that is through a railway track a few kilometers away that leads to the nearby station. But this route is never safe for these victims of politics, as their enemies are on the look out for the one who escapes from the trap in the island.
And on the island, no one is sure who will kill the other. The only inhabitant in the island is 'Ottakkayyan Vasu' a handicapped loner who has a small hut in the centre of the island, and the only person who can do a lot to change the entire proceedings. This is the plot of the new film 'Ottakkayyan' which offers much difference than the regularly told tracks.
The movie has seven characters. Entirely shot at night, the climax sequences of the flick is shot in real rains. These are the highlights of the film 'Ottakkayyan' through which popular journalist G R Indugopan turns into direction. He is also known for his the first technology novel in Malayalam.
The movie has Harishree Ashokan in the lead playing the role of Vasu. American malayalee Rani Babu appears in the female lead while the other prominent cast list includes Arun, Ashokan, T G Ravi, and Machaan Varghese.
The film which is conceived in a real time format, in which the incidents occur in the actual time lapse as in reality, was shot in and around Thiruvananthapuram and Karunagapally in twenty days. The film is promoted as a suspense thriller by the director who also pens the songs for the movie.
Produced by Vidhubal in the banner of Violet Movies, the film also introduces a new face in music direction - Samad Priyadarshini. This experimental film is being planned to make a release in select centres for this Ramzan.
