It was an eventful week for the OTT audience in Telugu. Viewers were greeted to two direct releases and one major post-theatrical release. Besides, there were other films on the platter.

Direct-to-service releases:

'Drushyam 2' hit Amazon Prime Video on the night of December 24. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the thriller drama stars Venkatesh, Sampath Raj, Meena, Vinay Verma, Satyam Rajesh and others. With music by Anup Rubens, the film has been watched by a large section of viewers.

The other direct OTT release this week was '#BRO', which is streaming on SonyLIV. Starring Naveen Chandra and Avika Gor as siblings, the film is a remake, much like 'Drushyam 2'.

Major post-theatrical release:

Rajinikanth's 'Peddanna', whose Tamil version is 'Annaatthe', started streaming on Netflix the other day. The 'Siruthai' Siva directorial is streaming also on SunNXT. What makes it special is that the big-ticket entertainer arrived on OTT less than a month after its mega theatrical release.

Acclaimed post-theatrical release in the form of 'Republic':

Sai Dharam Tej-starrer and Deva Katta-directed 'Republic' started streaming on ZEE5 from November 26. Starring also Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu, it is getting extra acclaim on social media ever since its OTT release.

Puri Jagannadh's fans have a treat:

'Romantic', which is written by Puri Jagannadh', is streaming on Aha. Starring Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma, it has been described as a treat for Puri's fans.
