With a steady stream of films hitting theatres each week, audiences are also getting the chance to enjoy them on OTT platforms shortly after their release. This week brings added excitement for Tamil cinema fans, as six new Tamil films are gearing up for their digital debut, offering a fresh lineup of entertainment. Here's a list of new OTT releases:
Tamil Releases:
Thangalaan on Netflix - Chiyaan Vikram starrer fantasy action saga directed by Pa Ranjith. With music by GV Prakash, the film is packed with strong performances from Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltigarone and Pasupathi. It streams on September 20.
Pechi on Prime Video - An acclaimed horror thriller starring Gayathrie, Bala Saravanan and others. It premieres on September 20.
Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam on Prime Video - Amazon's new series which is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster show, 'Panchayat'. It debuts on 20th September.
Saala on Aha - September 20.

The Penguin on Jio Cinema - HBO's new series based on the DC character, Penguin, one of the villains for Batman. This show is a spin-off to Matt Reeves' 'The Batman' (2022) starring Robert Pattinson. It streams on September 20.
Agatha House Of Harkness on Disney+ Hotstar - Marvel's new series based on the character from their earlier show 'Wanda & Vision'. It debuts on September 20.
