With theatres remaining closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown indefinitely, people are forced to remain confined to homes and are seeking entertainment via TV, movies and social media. Movie buffs who are deprived of new movie releases now have an alternate entertainment, as OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon, Zee5 etc have fresh content uploaded regularly.

With interesting movies and series arriving frequently, here are some of the newest releases on various OTT platforms:

Curon (Season 1), on Netflix:

Curon is an Italian series, and the just released Season 1 has seven 45-minute episodes. Curon is a thriller with fantasy and supernatural elements which guarantees an engaging and entertaining watch. Curon is created by Ezio Abbate, Ivano Fachin, and Giovanni Galassi, and revolves around the life of a woman and her twin children, who return to their cursed town, the unexpected events in the life of Anna and her children, the secret and the past behind the darkness in the town.

Lenox Hill (Season 1), on Netflix:

Lenox Hill is a documentary series about the famous New York City hospital revolving around the lives and work of four doctors - two brain surgeons, an A&E consultant and a gynaecologist in the hospital's maternity unit. Lenox Hill documentary takes a closer look at the lifesaving work of doctors besides also focusing on the stories of patients and how the doctors balance personal lives with professional responsibilities.

Middle Men (2009), on Netflix:

Middle Men is a 2009 American drama directed by George Gallo and written by Gallo and Andy Weiss. Starring Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht and James Caan, the movie is based on the life experiences of Christopher Mallick, who had worked in Internet billing companies Paycom and ePassporte. Christopher Mallick was accused of stealing millions of dollars from customers at ePassporte to finance the funding of this movie.

My Mister (Season 1), on Netflix:

My Mister is a 2018 South Korean series, starring Lee Sun Kyan and Lee Ji Eun. My Mister revolves around three middle-aged brothers and a strong woman, who has been leading a tough life of her own, and how they come together and help each other overcome their troubles and problems of the past.

Reality Z (Season 1), on Netflix:

Reality Z is a Brazilian comedy show which is about zombie apocalypse and has premiered on Netflix today. Reality Z is a short series consisting of five thirty minute episodes in the first season. Reality Z is touted to be an ode to horror, humor and pop culture, and presents zombie apocalypse involving participants and producers of a reality show named Olimpo and what happens in an elimination night of the show.

Thirumanam, on Zee5:

Directed by Cheran, Thirumanam revolves around two lovers Umapathi and Kavya Suresh who decide to get married, but troubles arise when Umapathi's sister Suganya and Kavya's brother Cheran have different approaches towards the marriage. While one wants a lavish, grand marriage ceremony, the other wants to reduce expenses and hold a simple marriage. Whose ideology won, and whether the young couple got married is what thirumanam is all about.
