Oscars chief faces sexual harassment accusations

Sexual harassment has become rampant in almost all sectors. With more women coming out with incidents, it is high time that these serious issues be taken note of immediately. Especially in the film space, more and more allegations have been filed within a short span of time.
The latest being none other than John Bailey the President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences which gives Oscar awards, has been accused of sexual harassment. After receiving about three claims of harassment against him, the Academy has started an investigation on him. The Academy also has stated that it would not comment further on the issue until a full review is completed on the same.
It is also worth mentioning here that John Bailey who is 75 years old has worked in iconic films such as the ‘Groundhog Day’ and ‘The Big Chill’ as a cinematographer.
