Oscar winner joins Allu Arjun-Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa’

Resul Pookutty has been roped in by the makers of ‘Pushpa’ for the big-ticket film’s sound design. Announcing the same on Wednesday, Mythri Movie Makers wrote, “Welcoming Academy Award Winning Sound Designer Resul Pookutty on-board for #Pushpa (sic).”

This is Resul’s second straight Telugu movie, the first one being Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’. Like the Prabhas film, ‘Pushpa’, too, is a pan-India project. Since the action thriller, set in Chittoor, is going to be measured against the best standards, the makers have gone in for the acclaimed name.

Sukumar has also enlisted Anthony L Ruben of ‘Bigil’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Viswasam’ fame to edit the movie. In fact, he has also edited the film’s soon-to-be-released teaser.

Starring Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist, ‘Pushpa’ has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
