Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges reveals he is diagnosed with cancer

Oscar-winning veteran actor Jeff Bridges took to social media to share the heartbreaking news of his cancer diagnosis earlier today. He added that the prognosis is good and that he is starting his treatment and will continue to update everyone as he recovers.
Stating that he has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, Jeff Bridges also urged people to cast their vote in the upcoming US Presidential Elections. "As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light," Jeff Bridges wrote on Instagram as well as Twitter. "I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I'm starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery," the legendary actor wrote further. He added, "I'm profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together. Love, Jeff." Several celebrities have posted their well wishes for the actor's speedy recovery. 'Avengers' actor Jeremy Renner wrote on Bridges' post, "Much love and strength you my friend. You will overcome any obstacle in my eyes amigo." Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul commented, "Jeff, my god, I love you. Sending you so much love and light my friend. Love to you and the family."
Jeff Bridges has appeared in several critically acclaimed movies, including Starman, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Fisher King, and the Coen brothers' remake of True Grit. He has also acted in the first instalment of the Marvel franchise, Iron Man. After being nominated seven times for an Oscar, the actor finally won the Academy Award for his performance of an aging country singer in the 2009 film Crazy Heart. Bridges will be next seen in the thriller TV series 'The Old Man,' which is set to premiere in 2021 on FX on Hulu.
