Mollywood's promising talents Sreenath Bhasi and Sudhi Koppa are teaming up for an upcoming movie titled Duniyavinte Oruattathu, meaning 'distant corner of the world'. To be directed by Oru Mexican Aparatha director Tom Emmatty, the youth-oriented film will be shot during the pandemic.
Talking about the movie in an interview with TOI, director Tom said that the film will be a 'pertinent tale' appealing to the family audience and that it has to be shot and brought out as early as possible.
"The film deals with a youth-oriented subject and would appeal to the family audience. All of us thought it was a pertinent tale that has to be told as soon as possible. After narrating the story to Sreenath and Sudhi, both of them agreed that we have to shoot and bring out the movie soon, even if it's during the pandemic, because its content is that relevant," said Tom.
The movie will be set in Mattanchery and Alappuzha. While most portions of the film will be shot indoors, the outdoor scenes will be filmed after the government grants relaxations in the COVID-19 protocols. Scripted by Safeer Rumane and Prashant Murali, the movie is currently in its pre-production phase and is expected to start rolling by September. Cinematography is by Manesh Madhavan of Joseph fame.
