Orkut Oru Ormakoot
Into the avalanche of new directors and new actors in Malayalam, is a new film which boasts of a second generation of big names of Mollywood. Yes, the sons of ace director Sibi Malaya, actor Lal Alex, Shobha Mohan, and movie journalist Gopalakrishnan are coming together for a new movie titled as 'Orkut oru Ormakuttu, which will also have a group of freshers in its crew list. The movie with Joe, Ben Alex, Anu Mohan and Vishnu in the lead will be a trendy flick directed by Manoj and Vinod.
The movie which was in the making for quite some months will have Rima Kallingal as the heroine named Chrystal, an young women, who comes to Kerala from Germany to locate her roots in the state.Ronnie, Aby, Arun and Sooraj are four friends ,who are just out of their college and are intense users of online social networking sites. Coming from affluent families with immense wealth,they take life as a celebration. Living in the same apartments, they are living a life that they have dreamt of.With the help of Orkut, they meets Chrystal, with whom they instantly strike a good friendship. Their get together in the city not only results in helping Chrystal to achieve her aim but also helps in the realisation of personality problems of each of them in the group and also a new experience of life as it is.
While Joe, director Siby Malayil's son, is in the role of Ronnie who is a junk foods addict, Vishnu Raghav, son of still photographer Gopalakrishnan, dons the role of Arun, a shy and soft spoken introvert in the group. Actor Lalu Alex's son Ben plays hot-tempered Aby with his share of family problems while Sooraj essayed by Anu Mohan, is a romantic who always likes to keep him ready to garner the attention of girls around. The movie will also have Siddique, Devan, Harisree Asokan, Menaka, Vanitha, Bindu Panicker, Arundhathi Nag and Kaviyoor Ponnamma in other important roles.
The movie which has already completed it shoot at Kochy is cinematographed by Swarop Philip. The movie will have music by Leela Gireeshkkuttan while Rafeeq Ahamed pens the lyrics. `Orkut Oru Ormakkoottu' will be ready to grace the theatres by the end of this Summer vacation.
