Original 'Umrao Jaan' Rekha to celebrate 'Damadamm' success with Himesh

Himesh Reshammiya is planning to pull off something that could well have been termed impossible by many out there. For the success party of 'Damadamm', he is going all the way to personally invite Rekha to grace the event. As per the composer/singer turned actor/producer, the celebrations won't be deemed complete without the presence of evergreen Rekha, on whom he based his chartbuster track 'Umrao Jaan'.
'Umrao Jaan' is one of the biggest chartbusters of not just 'Damadamm' but also the year. There were many who wondered whether it was right to title a song as 'Umrao Jaan' when instant comparisons would be made with the Rekha classic of the same name. However Himesh had always maintained that it was a homage being paid and that too in a situation for the film which was meant to be fun-n-naughty, says a close associate of Himesh, When Sonal Sehgal was roped in to dress up like 'Umrao Jaan', the team knew what they were doing.
Though one isn't aware about how Rekha felt about 'Umrao Jaan', she may well be listening to it and seeing it being played especially for her when Himesh puts together the 'Damadamm' success party.
It would be a huge bash because Salman Khan would be a key invitee for the event as well, says a source, For Himesh, Salman has been a lucky mascot and now with 'Damadamm' recovering it's costs and also making decent profits, Himesh feels that Salman has to be a part of the celebration once he returns from 'Ek Tha Tiger' shoot. With Rekha and Salman around, it would be one mega party to watch out for.
