Ore Mukham was postponed several times due to the present note crisis. After finding that the several released films were suffering at the box office due to banning of notes of high denomination, they had postponed the release date.

The film was supposed to release during Onam. But to avoid competing with bigwig films it postponed the release. After that the note crisis started and it was supposed to release along with Nadirshah`s Kattapanayille Hrithik Roshan` but then the release was postponed further. Now the director Sajith Jagadnandan through his facebook has announced that the film will be released on December 2.

The film narrates a campus story of the 80s. Dhyan Sreenivasan is essaying the character of Zacharia Pothen and according to the director it is a challenging role for the actor, something which he has attempted for the first time. The script is written by the director and Deepu S. Nair. The teaser was a big hit.
