Ordinary
Kunchakko Boban had a pretty good 2011, though 'Sandwich' which came in the later half of the year didn't made the B O ringing. Anyhow, the immediate release of the star will be 'Ordinary' directed by Sugeeth, an assistant to senior director Kamal who had been with the veteran for 12 years. The movie presented in a very different backdrop and narrative style also features Asif Ali in an important role.
'Ordinary' tells the story of the staff and passengers of an ordinary bus which travels in between Pathanamthitta and Gavi- an isolated tribal settlement. Kunchakko dons the character of E.Ravi, also known as Eravikuttanpillai, who had dull school days. E Ravi would rather go to the cinema halls or will roam around the town and talks about the politics in the local tea stall than pursuing his studies seriously. But when his father died unexpectedly, K S R T C offered him with a job. Though initially reluctant to take up the job of a conductor, E .Ravi's relatives and grandmother forces him to join the job.
And now E Ravi is the conductor of this lone bus which travels around seven dams to reach Pathanamthitta, carrying the tribals and their products to the markets of the city. E. Ravi's only big colleague in the bus is Suku, the driver who had loads of experience behind him, working with the K S R TC. The movie unravels telling the intense relationship that each of the travellers share with this conductor and driver, plying between the beautiful high ranges and mystic lands. The movie goes on to tell how the relationship between the travellers and bus staff turn soar after some mysterious happenings. Asif Ali comes up in a different look and hairdo as Bhardran, a character that he has never done in his short career.
Shritha Sivadas coming from the modelling industry plays the female lead. Jishnu who debuted through kamal's 'Nammal' also appears in an important role of Jose master. Ann Augustine plays a school teacher named Ann. The other actors in the movie are Suraj Venjaaramoodu, Unni Mukundan, lalu Alex, Salim Kumar, Niyas Backar and Vaiga.
The movie produced by Rajeev Nair in the banner of Magic moon creations is based on a story by the young director. Nishad M Koya and Manu Prasad pen the screenplay and dialogues for the movie. Vidhya sagar is the music director of the movie which will feature five songs including a children's song. Faisal Ali cranks the camera while V Saajan is in charge of editing.
With the shoot almost complete, 'Ordinary ' is scheduled to be on theatres in a short while.
