Get ready for the much anticipated movie of the year Priyadarshan`s, Oppam! The movie having Mohanlal in the lead, has announced the releasing date as September 8. The film is produced by Ashirvad Movies.

In Oppam Mohanlal dons the character named Jayaraman who is blind but moves around using his other extraordinary senses like sound, smell and touch. It is murder mystery where the protagonist gets entangled in a crime and is framed as the culprit. The story unfolds on how he finds the real culprit using his exceptional senses.

The story is penned by debutant Govind Vijayan. Vimala Raman is the heroine of the movie and it is a comeback movie for her. Also, actress Anusree plays a prominent but short role in the movie. Nedumudi Venu, Samuthirakani, Siddique, Mamukkoya, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Kalasala Babu, Idavela Babu, Chemban Vinod etc are the other actors in the movie.
