The teaser for 'Operation Gold Fish' ticks the right boxes. A college campus story and an intense plot set in Kashmir are interspersed. Fittingly, director Adivi Saikiran has described his product as a cross-genre flick where rom-com scenes and action episodes are woven together into a gripping tale.
The eviction by terrorists of Kashmiri Hindus from their homeland in the late 1980s and early 1990s is a well-documented fact. 'OGF' traces this story, where Ghaji Baba (writer Abburi Ravi debuts as an actor) plays the enemy of humanity. Arjun Pandit (Aadi Saikumar), an NSG commando, is tasked with dealing with him and his gang of desperadoes with an iron fist. In this, he may have to go beyond the call of his duty.
Back in a peaceful area somewhere in mainland India, a group of college youngsters is busy getting a 'kerintha' out of their lives. Sasha Chetri, Nithya Naresh, Karthik Raju and Parvateesam are seen as fun-loving youngsters.
Rao Ramesh (as a powerful man with an ulterior motive?), Aneesh Kuruvilla (as a professional), Manoj Nandam (on the villain's side), Krishnudu are also seen in the teaser.
Stunt master Ramakrishna seems to have mounted impressive scenes.
Music is by the talented Sricharan Pakala, while cinematographer Jaipal Reddy's visuals are impressive. Editing is by the able Garry BH.
