Open battle between Harish Shankar & Bandla Ganesh

Some controversies are never dull. Controversies concerning Bandla Ganesh can never be boring. Because they are worthy of memes. Even if they aren't, the 7'o Clock Blade fame failed politician will ensure that they will be worthy of memes.

The actor-producer seems to have had a beef with 'Duvvada Jagannadham' director Harish Shankar. The quarrel is now out in the open, although the director has so far not taken Ganesh's name explicitly.

Earlier this week, 'Gabbar Singh' turned eight. It was a special day for Harish Shankar. The film continues to be his most popular outing ever. And, it's also the best mass masala movie in Pawan Kalyan's career. In a statement released on the occasion, the director duly thanked Power Star, musician Devi Sri Prasad and others associated with the movie. He didn't mention Ganesh's name.

Bandla Ganesh, the very next day, alleged that Harish Shankar is not competent enough to make straight films work. He minced no words in alleging that he is just a remake director. He also boasted in an interview that it was because of him that Pawan Kalyan roped in Harish.

But is Ganesh true about Harish's filmography? Allu Arjun's 'DJ', Sai Dharam Tej's 'Subrahmanyam For Sale' and Ravi Teja's 'Mirapakay' were straight films from the director. The first two of these were clear hits. The last one, too, did well.

Harish Shankar doesn't want to wade into the controversy directly. So, he has indirectly shot back by quote-tweeting BVS Ravi's tweet praising the aforementioned three movies.

In a tweet, Ganesh today said that he doesn't pretend that everything is fine even when it is not. On his part, Harish had an aphorism to share on Twitter. They both are clearing hitting out at each other rather openly.
