Has the release date of Oopiri been almost finalized? It seems so. The Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual needs a suitable date for both the languages. The makers are learnt to have zeroed in on March 25 as the release date as this season might have no stiff competition in both Telugu and Tamil.

Produced by Prasad V Potluri, the film is based on the French film The Intouchables. While Nag is playing a quadriplegic, Karthi is playing his caretaker. Tamannah Bhatia is playing a key role here.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, it has music by Gopi Sunder. Cinematography is by PS Vinod.

Recently, sharing his experience of working for the film, Nag said, "I`m playing a totally paralyzed person in Oopiri. Even the neck movement is very mild. It`s a full-on comedy. My relationship with Karthi is very funny. There is no revenge element or things like that. Even how I became a quadriplegic is not shown. It was very depressing to play the role (laughs). I had to be static and I would sometimes have timmiri` in my legs. One assistant director was assigned the work of observing only me. He would alert the director even if my finger moved a little. (laughs). It was very difficult as I`m used to tap my fingers whenever I talk."
