Venkaiah Naidu, the Hon'ble Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs, has praised Oopiri.
"Oopiri is a meaningful film minus any vulgarity. It's a film that has values. A film usually has one of these three: entertainment, knowledge, message. But Oopiri has all the three," he said.
Praising Nag's performance, Naidu said, "Nagarjuna has acted in such a way as to remind one of ANR garu. Karthi, too, has acted very naturally and casually. This is a film which all Telugu people must watch as it has entertainment, performances, and a very good message. At a time when we have come to believe that the kind of films that used to be seen in an earlier era are not coming these days. I appreciate all the actors and technicians who have worked for this film."
Prasad V Potluri said, "We thank the audience for appreciating our film. Venkaiah Naidu garu called me up and told me that he had been listening great things about the movie and so he wanted to watch it. That's why we arranged this special show for him. His appreciation has given us a big boost."
