'Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava' from 'Pushpa: The Rise' was shot on Allu Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. A so-called counter to the song has gone viral on the Internet, clocking about one million views on YouTube within a few days.
Singer Ramana and lyricist Prashanth are the ones behind the song. They have made it clear that they liked the original song and that their son is only an add-on. The lyrics accuse women of showing 'vankara buddhi'.
"I have been a folk singer for four years. I am passionate about acting. But my attempts at bagging acting offers have been falling flat. So, I tried to garner attention by doing this song. We are not offended by the 'Pushpa' song," Ramana added.
The lyricist said that he like the 'Pushpa' song very much. "Usually, item songs objectify women and female body parts. But 'Oo Antava' is different. That's why I was inspired to pen a male version," he added.
Another song has gone viral on the Internet. It is on different lines, although it takes the side of men and faults women for 'vankara buddhi'.
