IMDb is the most prestigious website for getting information about cinema and film reviews. It is a database of almost every feature film released till date and its ranking of films is considered ideal as it is based on user reviews as well as critical reviews. IMDb recently compiled a list of best TV shows of all time and it consists of only one Indian out of the total 163 titles. It should not be surprising that the show that made the cut is 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story'.
'Scam 1992' was released last year on Sony Liv and it was a success in almost every aspect. It deffered from the usual crime based or romantic content which is popular in India.
Pratik Gandhi, who played the lead role, shared, "We knew we were doing a sincere job of it. But we could never guess it would go this far. My biggest reason for accepting the role of Harshad Mehta was director Hansal Mehta. My producers Applause Entertainment and Sameer Nair were godsent. I love playing real-life characters. I’ve played quite a number of them on stage including Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. It’s always a challenge to portray a real-life character especially one as much in the public domain as Harshad Mehta."
