Star director Puri Jagannadh has defended nepotism in his latest podcast. Going beyond, he also said that those who are critical of nepotism are just plain jealous.
In a 5-minute-long podcast, the 'iSmart Shankar' director opined that it's natural that star heroes would want to launch their kids into films. "When you don't complain about a son inheriting his father's debts, why do you complain about a son inheriting his father's fortunes?" Puri asked.
He then said, "Nepotism is rampant in business, politics and even in patriotism. We Indians reject Pakistanis. If you believe nepotism is unethical, don't worship Ganesha, who is a nepo kid."
Puri, who is currently doing Vijay Deverakonda's 'Fighter', added, "Success chases only talent. Don't be carried away by social media fads and crusade against nepotism, which runs in our blood."
