Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday said that only 200 out of 3,692 Covid-19 patients admitted in Telangana hospitals have got serious ailments. "The rest of the patients are recovering," he said.
Giving an update on the availability of oxygen supply facilities in government hospitals, KCR said, "There are 3,000 beds with oxygen facility at Hyderabad's Gandhi Hospital and at the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences at Gacchibowli. There are 3,000 beds with oxygen supply facilities in the rest of the State. In total, there are 10,000 beds exclusively to treat coronavirus."
The CM asked the people NOT to rush to private hospitals. He acknowledged that private hospitals are charging huge amounts and subjecting patients to financial hardships.
He added that private hospitals should be transparent regarding details on the availability of beds and information on other facilities on their premises.
