The popularity of the song Gini Rama , sung by Gurukiran and Komala Potharaj for the lyrics of V.Manohar in 'Gaudugali Kumara Rama' (GKR) the expensive historical film has made the director Bhargava and his team to include this song in the film at the final stages. Five of the six songs scored by Gurukiran were only included for the film GKR till now. In three days time the song Ginirama . was shot in Jog and Sagar surroundings and after final editing it was included in the 15000 plus feet of 'GKR' that is hitting the screen all over Karnataka from 4 th of August 2006.
The beginning of the film 'GKR' will be with a song Kannadave Sathya sung by Dr.Rajkumar (GKR was his dream project 30 years ago). This song has been retuned by Gurukiran. In nearly 100 foot length the documentary of 'GKR' is explained with director Bhargava's voice over. Then the film kicks off for a real treat says Bhargava who is very anxious to get the results of his 50 th directorial venture.
Dr.Rajkumar was the motivating force for me to take up this project says producer Pattabhiram. I feel very depressed for his and his brother Varadappa demise in the process of making this film. Dr.Raj promised to sing one song for the film and his commentary was needed in the opening of the film. In order to set aside that shortage we have included his popular song Kannadave Sathya .., said Pattabhiram who is almost like first son to Dr.Rajkumar.
I thank immensely producer Pattabhiram first and then director Bhargava. Investing crores of rupees on this project explain the confidence in producer and director. Everyone in the film worked very hard and it is now left to the people to decide. The encouragement given to this type of historical film would definitely be an impetus to take up many more such works. I still feel like a student even after 80 films said superstar Shivarajkumar in his address at the media briefing of the film 'GKR'.
