One
In the most favourable climate for newcomers in Mollywood , debutant director Pathan Mohan is coming up with a project titled `One' which is all set to impress the viewers with its freshness and appeal. Featuring seasoned actor Jagadheesh, with a bunch of newcomers Vishnu Nandan, Devika Nambiar, Vinod Menon, Soumya Sadanandan and Rosin Jolly , the movie `One' is inspired from a supernatural episode that happened in Scotland in the year 2004. The film also marks the launch of the production house Ministry of Movies. ONE is a story of a journey that takes a group of friends to a strange place where a supernatural entity lurks, waiting to unleash evil upon its hapless victims. The whole movie spans from an evening of a Friday till morning of the successive Sunday. The total running time of the movie is 103 minutes which includes a song composed by Aswin Johnson. ONE is treated in a very realistic manner, drawing upon strengths from found footage genre, whilst the footage also includes a third person's point of view. It is visualized in an international styling of horror where the mundane mixes with the supernatural to evoke awe and dreadfulness in the minds of the audience. The principal location of the movie has been Manimalakkunnu Palace in Pothencode near Trivandrum. The highlight of the film will be the absence of prepared dialogues. The actors had been briefed on each scene's situation and asked to speak impromptu. This was done to ensure that a very realistic styling of dialogue delivery is carried on throughout the movie. All actors in the movie, for the first time in Malayalam & probably in Indian cinema, have acted in roles that bear their original / real-life names and mannerisms. Arjun Mohan, the producer himself, has penned down the story of ONE and the director has also extended his role as a lyricist. Prahlad Gopakumar is the cinematographer while Xian does the editing. The team of ONE has taken up the pledge of Going Green. The entire promotion of the movie will be only via Digitial & New Media / Traditional Media platforms. No posters will be printed for the movie. The movie will reach out to its audience via social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), Television channels, FM radio channels, Magazines, News-papers, etc. and is tentatively slated for release in July 2013. |
