Mobile Phone major OnePlus is currently working on an affordable smart TV. OnePlus' CEO Pete Lau announced on Twitter that the company is planning to launch an affordable smart TV on July 2 for Indian consumers.

Pete Lau confirmed in his tweet that One Plus is making a premium smart TV experience which will he more accessible to Indian customers. Pete Lau tweeted "It's official. We're making our premium smart TV experience more accessible to our Indian community. #SmarterTV".

Though no details regarding the specifications of this new smart TV and it's features aren't revealed yet, One Plus entering the affordable Smart TV arena will pose a huge competition for other brands. It has been predicted that this smart TV could be priced at $200 (15,000), and One Plus also plans to launch another mid-range TV priced between Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000.
