Controversies and Tamil cinema have become inseparable. Now it is the turn of Sarath recent release Chanakya to witness a protest.

Members of Jananayaka Munnetra Kazhagam on Friday held protests in front of theatres in the city where actor Sarath Kumar's recent release Chanakya was being screened.

The protest was against the use of their party flag in some scenes without permission.

Later, the protestors were removed by the police. When asked about the protest, film producer Vishwas Sundar, said, 'we used their party flag unknowingly. Since it has been brought to our notice now, efforts would be taken to cut out those scenes from the films'.

When will Tamil filmdom be away from troubles?
