Honey Rose, who made her acting debut in Tamil industry with a film titled ‘Mudhal Kanave’, has rechristened herself as Soundarya for the movie ‘Kaandharvan’. The film starring Kathir in the lead role is directed by Salangai Durai.

Says the actress, "I was waiting for a right break in Tamil cinema. When Salangai Durai approached me, I had no hesitation in accepting the project".

On the movie, the director says, "it is a romantic entertainer but different from the usual stuff. It is about a man, who is hated by every woman he falls in love with."

Former MLA Aandamuthu is producing the movie besides playing a prominent role. The highlight of the movie is musical score by Alex Paul, a successful composer in Malayalam. Paul is the brother of noted Malayalam producer Lal and has composed songs for blockbusters including Classmates, Rajamanickam, Thommanum Makkalum.
