None can forget the peppy song Yei Atha Athorma Vaariya, set to tunes by Ilayaraja in the late 1980s, which topped the audio charts.

Shot on Mohan and Poornima starrer Payanangal Mudivadhillai, the song was a craze among the youths then.

Now Ilayaraja's son Yuvanshankar Raja, keeping with the latest trend, has remixed the song for Malaikottai starring Vishal and Priyamani. Malaikottai is directed by Boopathy Pandian.

Remix culture is the latest trend in the industry and several yesteryear hits are being remixed in the industry.
