Suriya, the Tamil actor, had struck it rich with his movie Ghazini. The movie was such a hit that Suriya became a star in his own right in Telugu too.

His next movie Aaru, directed by Hari, has also done well in Telugu --- much better than it has done in Tamil.

Aaru also starred Trisha and the music was by Devi Sri Prasad. So it was easy to sell to the Telugu audience.

With Suriya enjoying a good market now, enterprising producers and distributors are looking for more films from the actor.

But Suriya, who is the son of Tamil actor Sivakumar, is a man who does things very meticulously, will take some more time to get his new film released.

But the Telugu market seems impatient. So what have they done instead is release one of Suriya’s older films in a dubbed format.

So, Suriya’s Tamil film Nanda has been re-christened Aakrosham and is set to hit the theaters soon.

Bala, who made Siva Puthrudu (Pithamagan in Tamil) with Vikram and Suriya, is the director. Laila plays the heroine.

Nanda is the movie that gave the right break to Suriya in Tamil. It may do so for him in Telugu too.
